Most compact hot melt machines on the market rely on air pressure to move adhesive. The ASD-D4 4L Precision Gear Pump Hot Melt Glue Machine takes a different route: a Taibang motor driving a 6–20cc gear pump, delivering output that is metered by rotation rather than regulated by air.
That distinction matters in small-to-medium production, where adhesive volume per part is often low and consistency per part is often critical. A motor-driven gear pump gives operators a repeatable, mechanically defined output — the pump turns a set amount, and a set amount of adhesive leaves the nozzle.
The specification in brief
The ASD-D4 carries a 4L dissolving cylinder with a cast finned melt tank and a melting rate of 6kg/hour. Working temperature is 180°C, with a temperature control range of 40–250°C, managed through a 7-inch full-colour interactive touch screen. Maximum viscosity is 100,000 cps. Total power is 2500W on a 220V/50Hz supply. The machine weighs 50kg and measures 590×340×546mm.
It outputs to 2–3 hoses and up to 3 glue guns, which makes it suitable for multi-point dispensing without adding a second host. An optional low-level sensor provides a glue-shortage alarm.
Why motor gear pump, why now
Gear pumps are valued for volumetric consistency: the displacement per revolution is fixed, so output scales predictably with motor speed. For applications where a precise, repeatable bead or dot is more important than raw pushing force — label bonding, small carton sealing, foam gasket assembly, craft and shoe upper bonding — this predictability is the core requirement.
The trade-off is that gear pumps are less suited to extremely high-viscosity materials than piston pumps. At 100,000 cps, the ASD-D4 sits at the upper end of what a gear pump system should reasonably handle, and is best specified for adhesives within that range rather than beyond it.
Engineered for maintenance, not just for output
The ASD-D4's melt tank uses a modular design, so maintenance access does not require dismantling the whole unit. Double-layer tank insulation reduces heat loss and power consumption. A built-in double-layer filtration system protects the pump and nozzles from clogging, and the imported Teflon coating on glue-contact surfaces resists sticking and carbonisation, simplifying cleaning between runs.
The manufacturer
The ASD-D4 is produced by Guangzhou Keqirui Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd. , a hot melt glue machine equipment manufacturer integrating research and development, manufacturing, sales and service. Since the establishment of the company, Keqirui has been delivering the quality of hot melt machine products to the majority of users, and has won the trust of customers. Sincere cooperation and common development is the business philosophy of Keqirui Machinery; the company has won the praise of its customers with the principle of high-quality product quality and honest business services, as well as creating maximum value for customers.
For producers who need metered precision in a compact footprint, the ASD-D4 4L is a specification worth examining closely.
